I’ve gotten away from this practice and I miss it. I learned about this from one of my coaches, Jacki Carr. And I figured May is as good a time as any to bring back this monthly reflection practice that I used to do every month back in 2017. It’s time to return to the practices that truly consistently support my growth and development.
Monthly Review Writing Reflections:
From Nicole Antoinette
•The two things I’m most celebrating from April are:
1.) Teaching yoga at the TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) support group at the hospital. This was on my vision for 2019 and a huge part of why I went to yoga teacher training in the first place. It went really well and I got great feedback and I’m continuing to pursue more continuing education to support this community and their individual needs for healing.
2.) Making time for a trip to NYC & Boston to spend time with my 2 best lifelong friends. Meeting one of their sweet kiddos for the first time and watching the other 2 grow up.

•The two things I’m most grateful for from April are:
1.) A trip to Snowmass to close out the ski season with Ryan. And an unexpected moment of intense tears looking over the valley below while skiing our final run of the season on the Big Burn. I knew that was a hug from my grandparents.

2.) My health. I spent a good part of the winter fighting some nasty colds and I’m so grateful I am feeling more vibrant, energized and healthy!
•Anything to release or let go of from April speak now: Putting intense demands on myself that only make me feel guilty when I don’t meet them. Like working out EVERY day. Or cooking every single day. I don’t do EVERY day for anything – except eating, sleeping and drinking water.
•The lesson I learned and am carrying forward with me from April is: Just take the trip. Scrape the money together and MAKE IT HAPPEN!

•My intention word(s) for May is/are: Inspiration. Make time to get inspired in nature, connecting with friends, and giving myself space and time to reflect and write.

•One thing I aim to do every day in May is: Read. I’ve gotten way off track with my reading and I’ve been watching too much TV and haven’t made enough time to crack open a book on the regular. 10-15 minutes a day is my goal. Please feel free to send me a message and ask me how this is going! I need accountability.
•Because I am brave, here are two new/scary things I will do in May:
1.) We will rescue a dog to grow our family and give LD a sibling! Rocky Mountain Puppy Rescue, we are coming back for another one. Eeee!
2.) I will do a free coaching session giveaway on Instagram to help grow my business and meet new potential clients.
•The one book I definitely want to read in May is… Well the books I will FINISH are ‘Educated’ by Tara Westover and ‘Playing Big’ by Tara Mohr. These books have been sitting on my nightstand half finished for far too long. It’s time.
•Just for fun, I will…try a yoga class at a new studio in Summit County. Perhaps at Bhava yoga in Breckenridge, just to experience a new teacher and maybe even a new style of yoga!
•As an act of intentional kindness, I will… send some fun unexpected snail mail to 2 friends! Because who doesn’t love snail mail?
