It finally happened…the first snow of the season. And it was just as glorious as I’d hoped it would be. Snow is kind of my thing. It’s beautiful, magical and a shock to the senses. Living in a snowy mountain environment is incredibly invigorating for me!
But what I love most about the snow is that is makes you slow down, way down. When you drive, you are literally moving slower. When you get ready to go anywhere, it takes 10 minutes longer to locate and put on all the necessary additional layers. When you walk, you better slow down…or you just might fall, there could be ice under that top layer of freshies. Move with caution and intention.
What a beautiful metaphor for the way I want to live my life…moving slowly but with intention, surrounding myself with beauty and inspiration, and always taking time to warm up with a hot cup of coffee while I watch the snow fall.
